2010 NAIDOC Awards - Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Melbourne

In 2010, NAIDOC Week was held from 4 to 11 July, with celebrations taking place across Australia.

Melbourne hosted the National NAIDOC Awards Ceremony and Ball on Friday, 11 July 2010.

Tickets for the Melboune event sold out in less than a four days. More than 1100 guests were treated to a spectacular evening of Indigenous entertainment including Melbourne-based national sensation Dan Sultan, the much-loved Archie Roach, local singer-songwriter Dave Arden and Darwin's rising star Leah Flanagan.

Hosted by Ernie Dingo and Deborah Mailman, the large audience paid fitting tribute to 11 National NAIDOC Award winners, including the new Caring for Country Award and dual recipients for Male Elder of the year.
