Burdiyas Yarns: In conversation with Elders from Boorloo (Perth)

Meet the Burdyia (bosses) leading the way for respect, recognition and reconciliation in Boorloo/Perth. Join Noongar presenter Phil Walleystack as he sits down for a yarn with the Elders and discovers the stories and experiences that have inspired their fight for change. Their stories are inspiring, powerful and sometimes heart breaking – but they have been laid bare so future generations can hear an Aboriginal perspective of our history. Our Burdiya yarners are: Uncle Walter Eatts, Uncle Farley Garlett, Uncle Ben Taylor, Aunty Margaret Culbong, Uncle Noel Nannup, Uncle Albert McNamara, Aunty Irene McNamara and Aunty Muriel Bowie.
